The TCCAC’s Tribal Child Care Quality Improvement System (TQIS) Region 11 TCCAC implements a Tribal Child Care Quality Improvement System as the lead grantee of the Quality Counts CA Block Grant through the California Department of Social Services. Quality Counts California (QCC) is a statewide system of locally implemented quality improvement systems (TQIS), to connect providers, parents and families to high-quality early learning and care programs and systems, and ensures that infants, toddlers, and preschool-age children have quality early learning experiences in their local communities.
QCC Tribal Region 11 was developed specifically for Tribal Child Care to provide resources and support to Tribal early learning and care providers and programs so they can help enhance culturally relevant and appropriate early learning and care that will help children to grow and thrive. With this funding TCCAC supports Tribal early learning and care through individualized support, resources, training and technical assistance, mini grants to enhance quality in early learning programs, providing opportunities to network and learn together and to outreach to other CA QCC consortia, regional hubs, trainers, and coaches available at the local level to align equitable access for Tribal Child Care and Tribal early learning programming.
