Our children know who they are as proud Native American people, know where they come from, understand their culture, and maintain healthy trusting relationships and connections with one another, our elders, relatives, Mother Earth, and Creator. Our children believe that they can achieve anything and are provided opportunities and supports to explore their dreams and fulfill their potential.
Our Mission
TCCAC works toward our vision by creating a family of tribal communities and partners that collaborate to:
Sustain and grow a Tribal Quality Improvement System for early care and learning programs and providers, grounded in culture, wellness, and tribal sovereignty.
Increase meaningful connections and engagements with tribal communities to further develop and enhance resources that better meet their needs.
Maintain a strong organizational structure and sound non-profit organization to support our vision and mission.
Our Principles
TCCAC’s principles guide and are intentionally embedded in our decision- making, funding approaches, partnerships, and activities. They include:
Embracing love and connection.
Appreciating all our children’s beauty.
Grounding ourselves in elders’ wisdom.
Fostering wellness and well-being.
Building trust and partnerships.
Elevating voices of tribal communities.
Honoring and preserving our traditions.
Sharing cultural experiences and knowledge.
Celebrating the uniqueness of each tribal community.
Bridging diverse beliefs and practices within culture.
