The Voice of Tribal Child Care in California!
TCCAC is excited to welcome you to the 2nd Annual Northern Workforce Day, hosted at the Redding Rancheria in Redding, California (Shasta County). This two-day professional learning opportunity brings together Tribal Early Learning and Care (ELC) providers, leaders, and administrators for connection, growth, and shared learning.
Friday: The Mentor Seminar is designed for Tribal Early Learning and Care leaders who currently serve as mentors—or who are interested in becoming one. This session will introduce participants to the Teacher Mentor and Director Mentor certification pathways and provide an overview of the TCCAC Mentor Competencies.
Together, we will reflect on the skills, behaviors, and cultural values that support strong, meaningful mentoring relationships. Through shared learning, self-reflection, and dialogue grounded in Indigenous knowledge and community strengths, participants will have the opportunity to deepen their mentoring practice.
Saturday: The TCCAC Northern Workforce Day offers an opportunity to come together with fellow Tribal ECE providers for peer-to-peer networking and professional development. Trainings are shaped by provider-identified interests and may include topics such as:
